About ODAAT

ODAAT began when my life had to be rebuilt.

I moved to Japan during COVID.
Removed from everything familiar, I was forced to confront patterns I had been avoiding.

What followed wasn’t immediate.
It took time, and more than one reset.

The only thing that held was structure.
Simple actions, repeated daily.

That became the standard.

ODAAT is built on that standard.
The product is the result.

The crane is the signature mark of ODAAT.

The Orizuru crane begins as a single sheet, transformed through deliberate folds.

Repetition transforms. Restraint determines the form.

Nothing added. Nothing forced.

That principle became the foundation for ODAAT.

ODAAT starts with fabric.

Each piece moves through multiple rounds of material selection and fit refinement before it is released. Fabric, proportion, and construction must work together so the garment holds its shape and balance.

The focus is on garments that hold their place today and are designed to be worn often and relied on over time.

ODAAT releases small collections of pieces throughout the year.

Some pieces earn a permanent place. Others move to the the Archive.
